Welcome to the Macro + Crypto Ledger

For the past decade, I’ve worked across two worlds that increasingly shape one another: global macro markets and digital assets. On one side, the familiar terrain of interest rates, liquidity cycles, and institutional flows. On the other, a rapidly evolving crypto ecosystem built around new forms of collateral, 24/7 markets, and an increasingly global user base.

This newsletter sits at the intersection of those two domains.

The views expressed are solely my own and do not represent the views of Ava Labs, the Avalanche Foundation, or any affiliate of either organization.

This newsletter is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

Nothing herein should be construed as an offer or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any digital asset or financial instrument.

My goal is simple:

To offer clear, practitioner-grade insights on how global markets influence digital assets, and how crypto’s market structure and innovations are reshaping modern finance.

Each week, you’ll receive:

#### Monday: Market Commentary

A concise, institutional-style briefing on macro developments and their read-through to crypto. Designed for finance professionals and crypto natives who want signal without noise.

#### Wednesday/Thursday: Occasional Midweek Update

A shorter note highlighting meaningful shifts in liquidity, positioning, or market structure, written whenever we have a data heavy week on our hands.

#### Saturday: Deep Dive

A more in-depth exploration of topics such as liquidity regimes, volatility, tokenized treasuries, stablecoins, crypto treasury management, exchange microstructure, and the evolving architecture of digital finance. These pieces focus on frameworks, not forecasts.

Why write this now?

Because crypto no longer sits outside the global financial system. It responds to the same forces that drive equities, FX, rates, and credit: policy paths, liquidity cycles, leverage dynamics, and positioning. Yet these connections are often misunderstood or oversimplified.

At the same time, crypto continues to build new financial primitives, from tokenized money markets to permissionless derivatives, that are beginning to influence how capital moves across borders and across asset classes.

This publication aims to help readers understand both sides of that feedback loop.

If you’re a finance professional who wants to stay informed on crypto without sifting through hype, this should feel familiar and useful. If you’re a crypto native looking to deepen your understanding of macro and traditional markets, you’ll find frameworks that map cleanly onto what you already see on-chain.

Thanks for reading: I’m looking forward to sharing this journey with you.
