Editorial Independence
Span.Blog's content reflects the independent views of its author. No advertiser, sponsor, or third party controls or pre-approves what we publish. Opinions are attributed as opinions, and analysis is grounded in publicly available information.
Material Connections
When we have a material connection to a company, asset, or product we write about, we disclose it clearly and near the relevant discussion, not buried in a footer. A material connection includes any of the following:
- Employment. The author works full-time in the digital-asset industry. Span.Blog is an independent personal publication, separate from and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for his employer. Where commentary intersects with his employer or its ecosystem, the author discloses the relationship and keeps any such references general.
- Consulting or advisory relationships. Where we cover a company the author advises or consults for, we disclose it.
- Sponsored or paid content. Span.Blog does not currently publish sponsored or paid content. If that changes, any sponsored item will be clearly labeled as such.
- Affiliate links. Span.Blog does not currently use affiliate links. If we add them, we will disclose that we may earn a commission from purchases made through them.
- Gifts or free access. If we receive free products, services, or access in connection with coverage, we disclose it.
